when the last one falls
there will be no plastic upholstery to remind us
of us
when the last one falls off the wall
we will walk
side by side on a different ray of light
to form a new day
but most certainly a darker night
a macrocosm of moist cheeks
forgiveness and regrets
to surround our sole sphere of loneliness
when the last one falls
we will walk
into our own black hole
we will name it red star ‘cause that’s how it’s called in a novel I read
and stand forever still
in literary inertia.
